Transport around the World - a presentation by Ian Copplestone
A programme showing some of the forms of transport that may be encountered during a circumnavigation of the world.
We journey through the Caribbean, transit the Panama Canal (as seen above), call at San Francisco, cross the Pacific to Sydney, fly over the Great Barrier Reef, continue to Hong Kong and return via Suez.
We shall see trains, planes, buses and trams - some of which are everyday, while some are downright wacky. Hopefully there will be something to interest everyone!
A club trip to the Cockrow Railway is organised for the 13th June - details to be circulated
Bookings are needed for the August trip by the end of June. Members will be circulated with details - if you did not receive the info, then please inform the club via this website contact page.
