Southern since 1953 brought by Michael
Baker presented pictures taken on “The Southern since 1953”. He has been
taking photographs of a lot of places and people, (some better than others!)
and put a number into the 50+ books he has published. The very first was of a
former LB&SCR E1 0-6-0T in the Isle of Wight in 1953. What we saw were pictures, (mostly
his but some from other sources), taken over the former Southern Region of
British Railways, between the 1950s and up to the present day.
A fascinating selection, following an alphabetic theme, with a variety of classic B+W shots intermixed with some stunning colour work.
