We enjoyed a visit to the Moors Valley Railway,on Tuesday 7th September.
( It was not possible to arrange this visit in the month of August, but it was moved to the nearest possible date.)
We had a most enthralling time at Moors Valley, and the staff were most obliging and helpful.
Nothing was too much trouble, and the volunteers enjoyed showing us round, driving numerous trips round the circuit with three of the splendid locos in steam. We were shown around the engine shed and workshop, with staff on hand to answer a stream of questions.
Although the light was fading towards the end of the evening, it was great to experience a ride at dusk, and a special spot-lit excursion in darkness.
A great experience, and much enjoyed by all! Worth every penny!
