About us - what we do

Special events

We aim to get together once or twice a year for outings of interest. These are open to all, and will be advertised well in advance in the monthly meetings.

The Christmas Dinner is a social event much enjoyed by the regulars, and friends and family are welcome to join us in a local venue.

Members' Page

We have prepared a page that is just for the Club members, dealing with Club business.  It is now functional.   Click here to access the page.

Who we are

Steam Railway enthusiasts come in all shapes and sizes, and we are no exception.

Mostly (but not exclusively!) male, with a spread of ages, we love to hear tales of the iron road, from all over the world, not only from our own locality in the New Forest, and not limited to steam traction either.

Our speakers usually have an engaging selection of illustrations, and manage to keep us fascinated for a whole evening every month.  Dates and details may be found on the Calendar page.

Our meeting-place

We gather now at the Village Hall  in Highwood Road Brockenhurst in time for the meeting to start at 7.30pm.

A short break for refreshment is made about the half-way mark, and we  aim to finish about 10pm.

A one-off visit will cost you £5 this year, but if you plan to come along more often, a member’s card for £25 will prove cost-effective for the 10 sessions we enjoy.

If you are not sure how to reach the venue, check out the page on How to Find Us.

( If you look at the Village Hall  website you will find a mine of interesting info. )

Data Protection

We have prepared a policy to meet the new Regulations, and all members are consulted regarding the use of their personal contact information.  This policy is available for inspection.  Click on the button below for details.
